I got a voicemail today on my cell phone (I haven't the foggiest notion why or how they got my number) and in it a conservative group was asking for a donation to "expose Obama's fraudulent birth certificate". I believe it was from Tea Party Express but I can't tell because the first part of the automated message was cut off from my voicemail. They seemed like they were very intent on making this a big issue in the coming campaign and were certainly looking for it to be in the news. It goes without saying that I take this with a large dose of salt....but...
If this is true and the right is going to beat this dead horse again, what will be the effect? I think it's clownish and ridiculous and will hurt Romney by reminding 80% of the voting public how ridiculous the Republican party has become. Thoughts?
