Interesting article about Obama's election and 2012, and race.  Seems his main trouble now is with working class whites.  States where Obama won while losing the white vote in green:

I thought Obama narrowly lost New Jersey whites, but I could be misremembering.

The problem with the white working-class is that although Obama has never been appealing, Romney is less palatable than McCain. They seem to actually be trending Democratic in the Rustbelt. Turnout in the South is going to drop like a rock.
