Delete, lock, delete, lock...decisions are tough.

In all seriousness, Inks is one of the better and more dutiful mods here.

Some of you may for whatever reason hate Inks, but he's at least sane.

I like Inks, in fact. But I voted option 3 (it was a mistake, I thought I had clicked option 2).

It's kind of notable that Inks is basically the last mod poster who considers the infraction system anything other than a f[Inks]ing joke.

I've said multiple times that it should go.  But until then, it does serve somewhat of a useful purpose.

The infraction point system isn't really that popular with most of the mods.  But usually when someone asks "Should we do something about Problem Poster So-and-so?", Nym says something like "If they post something against the rules, report and infract, and we'll see where it goes..."  So even if an individual mod doesn't like the infraction system, he's being encouraged to participate in the system, since infraction points are at least a factor in Nym's decision-making.

If you want to scrap the infraction system, either convince Dave to scrap it, or else convince Nym to change the way he operates so that infraction points become irrelevant.

That's what I meant - not a person's primary atlas forum persona. Hence, nobody.

it serves a purpose, much in the sense that throwing a ball against the wall serves the purpose of provoking and equal and opposite reaction from the wall catapulting the ball back to you minus air resistance.  only by shamelessly expanding the definition of 'purpose' far beyond its original intentions can we subsume the infraction point system into its grand and historic umbrella, a task I would not hire you to achieve.

He's a pedestrian repetitive troll, so of course he is somebody, and since trolls are not adequately represented in the cave, might be just the ticket. If nothing else, poster fire will be directed mostly at him, and folks will forget about bitching about Inks or whomever. He can take the bullets for you all in short. But per Joe he has been banned, so apparently the mods do not agree with me.  Tongue
