It's too early to say; best time to talk about it would be the day after the election. We don't know who will be President and how Ryan will be perceived. He could be viewed positively, but Christie, Rubio, Martinez, and Sandoval could all give him a fight.

His selection was announced today - it's far too early to speculate about this type of thing. If Romney does indeed lose in November, my guess right off the bat is that Ryan will be the frontrunner for 2016 in the months thereafter, assuming that he maintains a somewhat positive image. Hell, even Sarah Palin was considered a frontrunner for 2012 for the first few months of 2009.
