Would've long since been the presumptive nominee by now, and a stronger candidate than the Mittster at that.

Disagree with him having the nomination by now though he would have had a decent lead on Romney. However yes he would be a much stronger candidate.

I don't know about that. He would have given Mitt a hell of a fight though.

I think they would have had two states each at this point.

Somewhat unconvinced that 2012 would've been the best year for him, his economic politics are much more in line with Barack Obama than the Tea Party. However, given the flawed field, that might not matter.

To be honest, he probably just didn't want to be president. If he wanted to he had an excellent chance at it.

It would have probably have gone something like this:

Iowa: Huckabee decisively.
New Hampshire: Romney decisively.
South Carolina: Huckabee with a comfortable win.
Florida: Romney with a narrow but solid win.

I don't know if he would be a stronger general election candidate, but I think he would have a much better chance at beating Mitt than Newt does. Huckabee is a great speaker and really connects with his audience, but he also has some really scary views (like wanting to replace the constitution with the Bible).
