What is your go to for comfort food?

I'd say my biggest comfort food is cereal.  Sometimes when I'm hungry and feeling crappy, a bowl of cereal can have an almost hypnotic effect.

Other comfort foods for me:
Meatloaf
Steak
Pork tenderloin
Tomato soup
Risotto
Chow mein (chicken usually)

A THC soaked brownie is best for me. Nothing else compares. As more traditional comfort food faire, Meatloaf with the right spices baked with bacon on top is a naughty little comfort pleasure in which I indulge once or twice a year.

My comfort food can typically be sorted into two categories. Grain and meat. As well, a good chunk of it will be fried, though hardly all of it.

I have two categories as well for this.

Fast food: usually burgers from McDonalds or Five Guys or chicken from Raising Canes.
Snacks (mostly salty and carby): Goldfish, pretzels, French bread.

Like Oldiesfreak, I have a lot of comfort foods:

Pizza, my favourites being meatlovers, works, pepperoni or Mexican.
Chilli con carne
Beef vindaloo, although I like a number of other curries as well.
Meatloaf, especially the one I make with bacon wrapped around it.
Lasagna
Hershey's Kisses, both original and caramel-filled
Starbursts
Sour Skittles
Mudcake
Cheesecake
My mum's spaghetti, curries, potato bake, casseroles, cakes, desserts, or just her cooking in general.
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Bacon
Sausages, particularly pork, beef, chorizo and Italian, depending on how I'm having the sausages (in pasta, as a hot dog, as a part of a fry-up etc.)
Fry-ups, complete with fried bread
Mexican-flavoured Doritos
Nachos, particularly when made with aforementioned Doritos flavour and hot salsa
Kebabs
French fries, especially with cheese and bacon melted on top.
Pizza or Melt subs from Subway, with chipotle and/or ranch dressing and double meat. In the case of the pizza sub, with added bacon as well.
Chocolate-chip cookies
Ice cream, particularly cookies and cream, caramel, honeycomb or just good old Vanilla.
Chicken wings (there is only one place where I live, as far as I know, that can make these correctly though)
Ribs (just typing this makes me want some)
A good steak, particularly rib-eye or scotch fillet, with pepper sauce.
A quality burger (i.e. not the sort you get at McDonald's/BK, don't mind those though)
Fudge
Ice-cream sundaes
Fried chicken
A roast dinner with all the trimmings, this includes Yorkshire pudding.
Sausage rolls
Meat pies
Apple pies
I'm sure there's more!

Maybe I'd be better off replying to/creating a thread about what you DON'T like to eat! Tongue

Fast food. Later at night the better. Preferably McDonald's or the Bell. Or White Castle

White Castle is a great choice. I prefer Oatmeal Raisin cookies.
