Never listened to the guy before, but this rant is great. Friend e-mailed it to me. I think it's worth sharing on here. Language is a bit strong, but oh well...

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Adam Carolla is a relentlessly terrible person. It's almost impressive.

He's a funny guy, but I'm glad to see this side of him.

He himself criticizes the "free to be me 70's generation" he grew up in. But I'll say that that generation is more "self-entitled" than the latest bunch. They are the ones who started the "be whoever you want" trend, and their perceptions of the Millennials are from that perspective.

But does he not think kids know it's not great to be in 8th place, trophy or not? Does he not think this generation had not experienced crushing failure when they were rejected from college, rejected from jobs and mired in debt? People in this generation know they may never live the good life, which is not bad. The bad part is knowing that before they must subsidize older generations before they can build their own futures. As this article puts it:

Do these radio hosts realize how lucky they are to have a job where they do nothing but spout their opinions like the gospel? Let's see how good they are at flipping burgers.

Oh, and I fume at people who applaud Carolla for his "courage". What courage does it take to talk in a microphone, not even bothering to leave his plush seat? No wonder this is the same generation that sent hundreds to die to fuel their fantasies of a "world police".
