I've only seen The View once, in the dentist's waiting room, so for the most part I only have vague impressions about the show.

However, I do think this would be a great idea; the questions (and answers) would probably be more relevant to the average American's concerns than the traditional debates, which place too much emphasis on hot button issues and tit-for-tat conflict. It'd also allow the candidates (and the primary process itself) a lot of exposure with the sorts of people that don't really pay attention for much of the campaign and usually end up being the last-minute swing voters.

Hell, I'd watch it just to see the candidates debating in such a radically different setting.
