GOP primary: Obama vs. Palin

Too bad Palin is totally irrelevant now. If someone asks this question I'm sure the results will be hysterical.

Wow some people really live in a bubble don't they. Have you ever even met someone outside of the northeast?

Actually I agree with Napolean that this would amusing to see, though it certainly wouldn't be worth the cost of the poll. My guess is that  Palin would win something like 70-30, which just goes to show how unpopular she is.

I'd vote for Sarah in sort of a depressed, exasperated way.

No I didn't even know there were people who didn't live in the Northeast. Tell me more.

You just tack the question on at the end of the regular primary poll, it is a common device.

You may as well poll how they'd vote if the primary were Obama vs Basil Marceaux. Or you could ask Democrats who they'd choose in their primary if Mitt Romney and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz were the only candidates.

In all seriousness, does this question serve any purpose other than making either voters or their party look stupid? And other than refusing to answer and play the silly game, what can Republicans do in response that won't make them or their party seem crazy?

Fact: Sarah Palin (67-26) has better favorables amongst Republicans than Mitt Romney does (54-30).
