I wonder what crazy black southern preacher Cain will be tied to if his campaign ends up going anywhere.

I generally lose count.  But I was just curious; you claimed that you could still care less... I was just wondering exactly how much less you could care by.

Well, I could care less by the amount of Tequila you can drink before passing out Smiley

He's certainly a good speaker and probably the most commanding in that respect, but his ideas are crazy.

At this point I can actually see Herman Cain winning the nomination, as crazy as that may sound. He's getting tons of support from tea party types and others; conservative talk radio has been saying nothing but nice things about him for weeks (and they're not treating any other candidate like that either).

Could you imagine actually having a presidential election in the US where both major candidates are black?

To round things up, Condi Rice should run as a third-party candidate under that scenario... someone has to go after the Republican anti-tea party vote. Tongue

I predict Herman Cain will become another Fred Thompson, gain plenty of attention early on and then fade in the tough slogging.

Well this certainly changes everything . . .

Joking aside, I can see Cain catching on with a portion of GOP primary voters and make some noise, enough to be able to pull in about 10% nationally and perhaps make a strong standing in some primaries. That's about as far as he'll go.

Yes.  Probably not going to happen though, and it would be less interesting (IMHO) than a general election between a Black guy and a Hispanic guy.

It would be interesting, especially in the South.

Also, I hope a pollster decides to ask people if they think Herman Cain was born in the United States.

If the CP nominated Keyes, Foster, or Venable then the largest third party would have a black candidate too.

Roy Moore might actually do well as a 3rd party candidate with two African-Americans on the major party tickets now that I think about it.
