NY will go Dem in 2008, even if Guilani or Pataki is the Republican nominee.

Conneticut, very slim chance, but the one thats most likley at of the ones listed.  New York's only chance is if Rudy ran (& even if he does run he might not take the state, recent poll had him & Hillary in a dead heat for 08 (Clinton 46- Rudy 45).  Reagardless wouldn't matter no way a socially liberal candidate gets the nod.  Pataki would get crushed (his approval is 44%).   Rhode Island, Vermont & Mass are going to be 20%+ territory for a long time.
