http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_the_Republic_of_MacedoniaApparently, Macedonia is even less of an independent state than previously thought, considering that it's decided outside of the country when elections will be held (see
here).
The election polls are completely contradictory. For example, a poll by
"Pavel Shatev" from May 27 predicts a victory for VMRO-DPMNE with 55 seats, SDSM second with 30, DUI with 15, DPA with 7 and the other parties 13 , while a poll by
"Progress" on May 25 shows SDSM with 43 seats, VMRO second with 38, DUI with 15, DPA with 11 and the other parties 13. In the first case, the previous coalition will be able to stay in power, while in the second, no two party coalition will be possible - except VMRO+SDSM. But this is unlikely, as Macedonia is not an independent country, as pointed out above. So it seems, that in this case the government will include both major Albanian parties, which might be an improvement of the current situation.
A note of warning. In the first poll the number of seats for each party was given in the poll, while in the second I calculated them myself. Those results are complicated by the rather opaque D'Hondt method which I'm not sure those polsters are familiar with. Of course, I'm not sure I'm familiar with it either - I got rather different figures for the polls when I calculated them myself, so somebody must be wrong here.
While the voting was supposed to end at 19:00 CET, no results or exit polls are available yet. Results should be available live from
here.
