Why are so many people acting like dicks when they get on the internet?  You know the guy who comes on an internet forum and has a egotrip and decides to act as much of an asshole as possible to most people around them?
And another question: why do some of us feel the tendency to actually SIDE with these people just because they agree with us?

I don't aim this at anyone particular poster, just a question in general of something I've observed being on the internet and on here.  And yes there is a reason why I named this thread after one started by a troll.

People tends to foolishly believe they are perfectly anonymous on-line and can't suffer any consequences of being a dick?
