Don't be so rude, Antonio Wink.

And pay attention to your teachers at Sciences-Po: you may have the stars of tomorrow Wink.

I had Hollande, Moscovici as professors in economics (and Pébereau and Fitoussi).

I had Dupont-Aignan, Pécresse as teachers in public law.

And some camarades of my ENA years are in presidential or ministerial offices and nearing power.
One from Sciences-Po (he always failed to enter ENA Grin) is well known by fans of French politics: Guillaume Garot, "royalist" and mayor of Laval !

All this to say that, maybe I'm positive towards Hollande because of these years.... So long ago Tongue

it would be funny, since he probably would name his slavish assistant whose name I can't remember now as Prime minister.

According to IFOP, in the 394 cantons where there were only 2 candidates in the second round, one of them being FN:

the FN gained 10.9 points against left candidates
and 10.5 points against right candidates.

So, don't believe polls with leftist people saying they supported in droves the rightist candidates and not at all the FN.

Of course, there are slightly more voters from the right voting for the FN or, what is more, abstaining, but the FN gains voters also from the left.

This is not good for the PS as it is know farer and farer away from the lower classes.
Of course, the UMP is in so worse a situation that the PS will win easily in 2012, but there is a lot of relativity here.

In fact, we are still in the 2005 referendum, in a way.... The PS and the UMP are competing only among "yes" voters and the PS is doing far better.
But the "no" voters abstain, vote Marion "Marine" Le Pen or Olivier Besancenot.

The right eventually keeps Loire and Savoie presidencies.

In Loire because 2 DVG abstained and let the right win with a plurality (with one vote margin). Some say they were under pressure from the mayors of their cantons.

In Savoie because 2 "independents" abstained and let Gaymard win in a tie because he was the.... oldest, at 51 years old ! Grin
So funny to see the socialist senator, Repentin, losing in such circumstances.
Local politics is so cool in France Wink.
