Between Vern Buchanan, Jeb Bush, Jennifer Carroll, Mike Haridopolos, Adam Hasner, George LeMieux, Connie Mack IV, and Bill McCollum who would you most like to see as the Republican Senate nominee in 2012?

Jeb Bush......................................................... 72%
Bill McCollum .................................................. 6%
George LeMieux ............................................. 3%
Connie Mack IV .............................................. 3%
Vern Buchanan ............................................... 3%
Jennifer Carroll ............................................... 3%
Mike Haridopolos ............................................ 1%
Adam Hasner.................................................. 0%
Someone else/Not sure .................................. 10%

If your choices as a Republican Senate candidate for 2012 were just Vern Buchanan, Jennifer Carroll, Mike Haridopolos, Adam Hasner, George LeMieux, Connie Mack IV, and Bill McCollum who would you most like to see as the Republican Senate nominee in 2012?

Connie Mack IV .............................................. 15%
Bill McCollum .................................................. 14%
George LeMieux ............................................. 11%
Jennifer Carroll ............................................... 10%
Mike Haridopolos ............................................ 9%
Vern Buchanan ............................................... 7%
Adam Hasner.................................................. 3%
Someone else/Not sure .................................. 31%

I doubt Jeb Bush would run but it's crazy how good his poll numbers have stayed after so long despite his brother's failures.

Jeb Bush would be an excellent candidate, but I don't think he wants it.

Far more likely that it will be Connie Mack, McCollum or LeMiuex.

McCollum couldn't even beat Rick Scott. Or Mel Martinez for that matter. Hell, he's already lost to Nelson!

Please not McCollum...........

I'd support Jennifer Carroll or Connie Mack.

Poor Bill McCollum. I've always liked him. That being said, if he ran, I think this would have to be my first time not supporting him. He has too many statewide failures.

This is one of our safest seats in this election cycle, I think Nelson is very liked in Florida and will win another term.

Well, that's his brother you're talking about, not him.  He was a very successful governor of Florida, and people there don't really associate him with the President much.

Is this a joke?

He's under 50% against every challenger in the recent PPP poll.
Sure maybe he'll win another term, but this seat isn't 'safe'.

It's as if he is the only Republican who can't win in Florida. Even Rick Scott was able to become Governor there. McCollum vs. Mark Foley would be a good primary match-up.

I get the feeling Attorney General-elect Pam Bondi could be a strong candidate. She's in the right office and from the right part of the state. Being a woman surely helps agaisnt a male Democrat.

She'd definitely be a good candidate, although 2012 might be too early. But she is from the right part of the state as you said, I think I read somewhere that she out raised her opponent in 2010 by like 5 to 1 or something crazy in the St.Pete

Oh I found it:

Jeb Bush problem is simple: he had his chances, but is simply reluctant to risk and enter the race. Even in a such poor year for the GOP, had he ran for Senate, he'd be only one competitive against Nelson, instead of such joke Kathy Harris was.

He can cremate Nelson in 2012, but it's hard to imagine him actually running.

Or maybe, just maybe, since he's pretty consequential in turning down all opportunities, he really want a retirement and have no higher ambitions? Well, think about that.
