Dole, lagging in polls against President Bill Clinton, uses his vice presidential pick to invigorate conservatives and bring a spotlight on his campaign, chooses Ohio State Treasurer Ken Blackwell. This choice brings buzz to the Dole campaign, but the media scrutinize Blackwell's choice as a pandering move by Dole and Blackwell's credibility and experience. The pick of the conservative Blackwell has Warren Rudman perk up his eyebrows and after some more prodding, Perot is able to get Rudman to accept the position of Vice President with him on the the Reform ticket. President Clinton and Vice President Gore will be renominated. After haggling, Perot will be allowed in the debates.
So who wins? Dole, Clinton, Perot? Talk about it, make some maps if you like.
