You'd rather the Nazis conquered not just Poland but all of Europe? Well, okay.

I'd much rather live under Nazi facism than Soviet Russia which had up to 60 million killed. Not to mention I'd least I'd have a sliver of hope at being able to work and survive.

But all in all, thank God for the Western Allies for winning the war, and Pope John Paul II for contributing so greatly to Poland's non-violent revolution.

I think otherwise. Under Nazi occupation (I'm talking of course from Polish perspective), if they won the war, we'd be ashes. However, we could survive being a part of the Soviet Camp pretty good in a comparision.

And, Winston, I don't claim to be a scholar of Communism, so please correct the following.  I was under the impression that Communism was a multi-stage process.  Stage 1: Worker's Revolution.  Stage 2: Oligarchic Communitarian state to weed out the "undesirables", Stage 3: Utopian "Workers Paradise" in which the economy is planned by a central "board of directors" made up of representatives of the different industries and other sectors of the economy.

Or is Communism just Stage 3 and all of that Marxism?

This is all about his sig?! You have to be bat sh**t crazy for really make a thread just about that. I mean come on! Latin America was most prosperous when politics involved socialist laws. And why do you harp on socialism being worse then any of those thing stated in the sig? Why not start a thread about someone else with a sig you don't like? By the way teddy it doesn't seem like you to do this. Remember you left here claiming everyone was mean etc? Well, look at yourself now.

Personally, I don't think capitalism has caused all these problems. I think humans and greed have. But the original idea of capitalism implied that stores would stay small and local.

     I have to agree with this. I disagree emphatically with Winston's views, but I don't think it is right to harass him in this manner.

1 - Thanks for picking on me for saying this once and defending him for saying it every time he posts in his sig
2 - Thanks to some of you (you know who you are) for swearing at me because I happen to sleep from time to time and can't sit on my messenger
and 3 - Thanks to the person who long ago suggested a great way to deal with offensive signature images; a method I've now decided to activate.

Lastly, I will do as suggested and lock this thread.
