Pataki just recently got back from a trip to NH:

link

and now his "Revere America" organization is spending $1 million on ads in NH going after Carol Shea-Porter and Ann McLane Kuster in NH over health care reform:

Pataki might not be getting as much media attention as the other candidates, but don't forget about him.  He's well on his way to becoming the Jim Gilmore or Tommy Thompson of the 2012 election cycle.  Wink

Or, even worse, the Pataki of the 2012 election cycle.

Wow. Does anyone besides Pataki think that he has a chance?

I won't rule it out since it is so early, but it's unlikely. If there's an anti-romney swing but we still want a moderate trend, then yes.

Pataki 2012: Maybe it will last longer than his two hour exploratory committee for 2008.

The NH Democratic Party has filed a complaint with the FEC, alleging that Pataki's group illegally coordinated the ad campaign with House candidate Frank Guinta:

Pataki put in an appearance in Iowa today btw:

Maybe he will run.  Any presidential campaign by him would obviously be doomed, but that didn't stop Jim Gilmore, Tommy Thompson, Duncan Hunter, Chris Dodd, etc., so having no chance at winning isn't necessarily a deterrent.

He's running with out a doubt, hence his skipping the New York Senate seat. The question is can he become a viable moderate? Huckabee picked up all this steam in the three months before Iowa, it's possible

Isn't he both pro-choice and pro-gun control?  If so, I don't see how he could possibly win the GOP nomination.  He doesn't even have either the 9/11 aura or tough guy image that sustained Giuliani for months, before he candidacy imploded once the voting started.

Yeah, he's running.  I wonder if he has a shot?  I'm thinking his campaign will hinge on New Hampshire.  Maybe if Romney gets implicated in some kind of scandal he can fill the vaccum.

I suppose he has nothing else better to do with the rest of his life.  He might want to re-think his pro-choice position, because he won't be considered for VP being pro-choice.  I suppose he wants to sandbag Romney in NH and bleed votes from Romney.  If I were him, just beg for a cushy ambassadorship from Obama or maybe the EPA gig.
