'Morning in America' Award for Best Ad (Separate categories for main candidates and independents)

Campaigns:  The Bush wnidsurfing ad (not to be confused with the independent windsurfing ad)

Indies:  Swift Boat Vets Campaign.  (The ads were a series that built on each other.  For a single ad, the one with John Kerry's testimony read in his own voice and vets saying how that effected them.

'Willie Horton' Award for Nastiest Ad (Separate categories for main candidates and independents)

Campaigns:  Bush "Wolves" ad.

Indies:  Just about anything, but I will go with the DNC eagle and Ostritch ad.

'Open toed shoes' for most blatant position change

"I actually voted for the 87 billion before I voted against it."

'Nothing to fear' for best candidate speech

Bush convention speech.

'He's a nice bloke' for best supporting speech

Arnold's "Why I am a Republican" speech

'Jane Fonda' for most annoying/nastiest liberal

Michael Moore

'Jesse Helms' for most annoying/nastiest conservative

Sean Hannity

'Mike Dukakis' Tank' for most embarrasing photo/moment

Kerry in the clean suit.

'Ross Perot' for best third-party/independent candidate

None.  They all bombed and none deserve the recognition.

'You're no Jack Kennedy' for best insult

The flip flop dance.

'No whitewash' award for most blatant lie

CBS memo

'David Dimbleby' for best reporter.

Not reporting, but I will go with Brit Hume's panel.

'Fair and balanced' for biased reporting

See-BS News.  I mean, they run with a fake memo and they try to keep the explosives story back until the last Sunday.

'Nation shall speak peace unto nation' for balanced reporting

Fox.  They came the closest to a 50-50 share of positive and negative stories for each candidate.  THough no one was really fair.

'Turncoat' award for best side switcher.

Zell.  Is there any competition?

'He's toast' award for bad calling of the result.

Zogby.  Though he is doing his best to cover it up.
