I was just recapping on the Daily Show's interview with Obama, and I noticed he specifically gave genuine support to three congressman with uphill climbs for reelection:

How do you think it came down to those three?
 Surely those campaigns weren't caught blindsided?

Wonder if any of them will get ambassadorships, judgeships or other goodies if they are defeated.  If I was Obama, thats what I'd do for people who gave up their careers to pass, for better or for worse, the signature legislation of my presidency

Considering ~47% of the country approves of the job he is doing (and probably a few percent of that disapproval is from the left), I seriously doubt that.

Apparently election season makes moderate Republicans become hilarious hacks. See Torie's endorsement of various teabaggers for another example.
