It gets interesting at 3 minutes, though the whole video is worth a watch. Basically sums up why Brown will win comfortably even though the environment was working against him.

How is this a "final blow?" She's right and Brown was right, too, that you don't ambush candidates like this.

Brown has just run circles around her throughout the whole second half of this campaign... talk about an old pro.

ambushing seems the right way to go, otherwise they'd never reach an agreement

I still remember the Democratic hand-wringing back in the summer.

Jerry Brown is from the old fashioned breed, almost extinct, of Populist California Liberal and Meg Whitman is a former CEO of Ebay. She never really had a chance against the most experienced electioneering and voter pandering man in California (how do you think he got elected Mayor of Oakland?).

Democrats need more than notes from him, they should take his campaigning style hook, line, and sinker.

The most amusing part is that most political "experts" would argue Brown's style is dangerous, since he says too many things he actually believes. Voters like it though.

I agree.  The tactics of a liberal in a solid blue state will work well in swing states.

You all are kidding, right? Everyone was convinced Brown was Martha Coakley 2.0 during the summer. Meg has really done this to herself by oversaturating the market with her presence, then failing to take any responsibility and instead blaming everyone else in the state of California during Nannygate.

TBH, I was always skeptical of the wisdom of those saying back in the summer that Brown should try going toe to toe with Whitman on the airwaves. If he did that, then he would be broke in the final stretch against free-spending Meg.
He wisely saved his cash for the final weeks when voters started to actually pay attention.

It's easy to be against negative ads when you're ahead with less than a week before the election.
