Sadly, DeMint will probably end up with 70% of the vote. We all need to pray for Alvin!!!

DeMint's lucky it's a tough year for Democrats, otherwise he'd be on thin ice

I'm going to move this race from Toss Up to Lean R.

Greene still has an excellent chance of winning though.

He has 67% Favorability.  The Dems probably couldn't beat him in 2008, let alone a neutral year.

Though it's kind of fun to root for Greene, anyone who would actually vote for him to be their next Senator really needs to get their priorities straightened out.

I'd vote for Greene. Seriously. He's dumb and wouldn't get anything done.....but he isn't dangerous. DeMint is dangerous. The decision is clear for me.

Oh, sorry, it sounded like something the hacks on this forum would honestly say.

How likely is it that Clements will get second?

Has anyone ever really figured out what happened in that primary.  Not to be crass, but was it just a case of African American voters supporting an African American candidate?  I might be open to dirty tricks possibility, but not in a race that was always going to be a DeMint blowout.

I just want to know how Greene got the money to put his name on the ballot when he's basically poor.

It was simply a case of people showing up for the primary for a different race entirely, and finding a contested senate primary with two people on the ballot that they'd literally never heard of. And thus making a random choice.
Rawl's name rec was higher than Greene's, understandably, but it was still ridiculously low.
