You mean the logic behind the massive bills and legislative amendments that pass through Congress daily?  In that case, no, as those are incredibly complicated games of give-and-take that's almost impossible to unwind.

You mean in elections?  Yes.  It's easy--you're always right, and everyone who disagrees with you is a stupid, ignorant hack.

Yes.

But it varies depending on how deep you want to go, like anything. If you're actually trying to predict things, then it's much harder than physics.

Yeah, in a way.  But most people who are into it don't really get it.

Yes, for me. It annoys me how mindless some people in my Politics class in college actually are about the subject they're studying...

No. It seems easy, but like so many things, the more you know, the less easy it gets. And so much out there is spam, and thus there is a separating the wheat from the chaff matter to boot. It is not as if the field attracts the best and the brightest, because  it clearly does not. I learned that one long ago.

At a basic level I think it is simple -- you find representatives who support your interests and views and in return you support them.  But the details of this can get very complex.

If it was, people like Obama and Bush 43 would have never been president.

No.

I mean, it's easy enough to read someone's analysis of the way the senate acted as it did in some long-forgotten time and say, "oh, yeah, that makes sense."  But the actual mechanisms behind the process by which decisions are made, even by rather small groups, is, to me, a bit mystifying.
