Anyway, it is now after 1am.  The final vote is 7-3-1-1.  Seven in favor, three opposed, one who voted in opposition and then retracted his vote and one who voted 'no' but didn't seem to understand what we were voting on.  At anyrate, with my plan having the majority, I declare that having 5 distrcts based on forum registration and 5 districts that are perminant will be the basis for our Senate.

(slam gavel down)
How can you take a no vote and don't count it? and yet count an endorment as yes?

For God sakes then the vote is 7-4 either way my plan wins.

it;s 7-5 if endorment count
but the way i see it we voted here on 5 regions.
and it's not that it's a bad plan' mine was even more complicated

No this is a referendun vote and this was the plan selected.  You told me to put it up to a vote.  I put mymoney where my mouth is and won.  Even if we don't count the 'endorsement' it is still only 6-4 because one vote was retracted and if it is not then it is still 6-5 indicating that by referndum, my plan won.

This isn't Florida 2000.  You can't keep trying to move the goal post back like Al Gore did.

I am calm, but you are trying to tell me that this wasn't legit.  Of course I declared that the plan won, the time was up (72 hours) and it is my plan and it won.  How am I moving the goal post back?

Mea Culpa.
Mea Maxima Culpa.

I should have insisted the thread be clearly marked as a vote...but I didn't...plus there's way to much talk in this thread...now it's a bit late for me to try and rectify this...guess we'll just have to accept this imperfect and complicated plan...it's not the end of the world...the Atlas will survive it...lots of countries have strange election plans...oh well, what the hell...
Congratulations, supersoulty.

I SEVERLY dislike the result of the vote, but it is plain to see supersoulty's plan won. Anyone who tries to argue otherwise now will only look a fool.

Thanks for Caongrats and your luke-warm endursement of the results.  Smiley
