Yes, people who own guns are dangerous menaces to society.

No, the death penalty (regardless of your views on gun control) is way too excessive a penalty.

You know the founding fathers almost made the 2nd amendment the first amendment. The 2nd amendment protects all other amendments and never let anyone tell you otherwise.

Actually, it almost became the Third Amendment.  The First Amendment would have been the Congressional Apportionment Amendment, had it been properly ratified.

Why can't Winston find a sane ideology?  He's tried out 3 and they've all been horrible.

Yes, there's 1 quadrant (and ideology) that he hasn't tried out yet (not on the forum, anyway).

And yes, it's conservatism! Wink

He's tried a form of neo-imperialism (Hence the name Winston Disareli), libertarianism, left-libertarianism, and now Stalinism.

Unfortunately, it's not clear whether he ever actually believed/believes in any of them. His approach to ideology just reeks of attention-whoring.

Should he really want to do a about-face, he'd come onto the forum one day and embrace full-fledged neo-liberalism, complete with the EU flag and a Tom Friedman quote in his sig, ranting about Democratic Peace Theory and the glories of free trade and bizarre statements about Lexuses (Lexii?) and olive trees.

Maybe that's next month's ideology.

Very briefly near the start of my time here, so 2008-early 2009. Then I realised it was stupid and went libertarian.

So is that the reason why you had a distaste for Gandhi?

Partially yes, though there are other reasons too, such as his anti-Semitism. As many of you know, anti-Semitism pisses me off alot. And he was a racist too.
