Ok, don't ask how I am doing this.  It's very complicated, and it has to do with super-luminal quantum tunnelling of data packets across long-distance fibre links.  Each traversal actually results in the message arriving on the other end of the link a few nanoseconds before it left.  Set up a routing feedback loop, and you can send a post to an arbitrary point in the past.  I just hope the paradox doesn't tear the universe apart, but theoretically, it will just cause the earth to veer into an alternate timeline.

Anyway...

We are now in week 6 of the Ohio Recount and the Wisconsin Challenge.  Recount number 14 in Ohio had Kerry up by 129 votes, while recount 13 had Bush +17.  Bush's team of about 600 lawyers is trying to use handwriting analysis to prove that at least 200 Kerry votes on "connect the arrow" ballots were cast by only 5 people.  The handwriting analyst is a forensics professor at Bob Jones University, so his objectivity is being seriously questioned by the Kerry lawyers.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin went to Kerry by only 8,000 votes, but the high turnout in Milwaukee County (89%) has led Republicans to claim massive voter fraud by Democrats there.  Democrats simply state that their GOTV efforts were highly successful, and Jesse Jackson is claiming that the Republicans are trying to take the vote away from thousands of innocent minority residents in the county.  Republicans in particular are focussing on 10,000 "suspect" registrations they claim represent frauldulent Democrat votes and would swing the state to Bush.

Either Wisconsin or Ohio would give Bush the election; Kerry needs both states to win.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice William Rehnquist died three weeks ago unexpectedly, and Bush is attempting to get Antonin Scalia confirmed as Chief Justice, as well as pushing a new nominee through the Senate as quickly as he can.  This has caused near-riots in Washington, as activists on both sides of the Abortion issue, in the hundreds of thousands, have converged on the national mall, and have all but chucked rocks at each other.

Osama bin Laden was shown on a recent tape laughing manacially at our weak and ineffective country, which couldn't even choose its own leader.

Anyway, I'm sending this message back in time, in the hopes that SOMEBODY can do SOMETHING to stop this.  Thank you.

Damned Hawaiians.  Always messing up the elections.  Why couldn't they have voted for George Bush like Dick Cheney told them to... Wink

Scary to think that calling HI could actually decide the election this year.

(Not that I buy this whole "aloha battleground" stuff for one instant, mind you...)

Frightening...truly frightening.  And probably not all that unrealistic either.  Still, I'm predicting that both Wisconsin and Ohio will go to Kerry by margins large enough to be uncontested.

I like the way he has a blank in WV without even pointing it out! Makes it seem more realistic.
