So, me and my ex have been talking since we broke up, and we started back to work this week now that school's over, and I think it was kinda awkward for her, so I asked her tonight over AIM if everything was ok.

We got to talking, and I find out, that the reason she wanted to break up was not all because of her dad, but she also wasn't "really ready for a serious relationship" but didn't want to tell me that, because she thought she'd hurt me.

So, basically, I've been wasting the past month or so trying to win her back and hoping her dad would like me for nothing.

So - I told her I'd ask one final time - does she still feel like she doesn't want to be in a relationship, and she said no - so I'm officially giving up and moving on.

So, to the people on the forum who told me months ago to move on, I should've listened to you.  Specifically, the people who come to mind are Gramps and cutie_15.  You guys were right.

So, that's all I got.  Thanks for listening.

Relationships only end up leading to this kind of drama.  It would be best to avoid it entirely, and focus on school and work for the time being.

Dude, you're the last person that should be giving any kind of advice whatsoever.

Inks, sorry man.  Do something that cheers you up.  Hang out with friends.  See a movie.  Get drunk and randomly lock and delete threads.  Whatever works.

I suggest you let them come to you. and don't be so fast to jump. We actually don't want that believe it or not. Good luck on your adventure. I am sure we will hear about the next girl, right?

2. Always treat women like sh**t.  Be dramatic about it.  Instead of holding books for a girl, throw them in the trash.  A good ratio is 80% of the time treat them like sh**t, 20% of the time act like a total and complete pussy.  As soon as her defenses are down, revert back to your asshole state.  Drives them wild.

3. Be random and spontaneous.  Get pissed for no reason.  Throw sh**t around.  Add some drama to her life.  Women want to be entertained.  Just don't for the love of God ever bore her.

I might try 2 and 3.......

Vander Blubb, as much as I'd like to hit pedestrians at school with my car (not because of my breakup, I just hate pedestrians Tongue ), I think that might harm my poltical career.

Of course you guys will.  For some reason, you guys are the only people I ever talk to girls about.  I can't stand talking about my relationships with my physical friends, and especially not with my family - it just seems weird.

Inks, ol pal, I'm sure on some level this ex-lady of yours is a nice person, but her screwing around with you and being too cowardly (yes, cowardly) to just come out and tell you the real reason she wants to break up instead of blaming "her parents" shows she's a very immature person, and possibly a tad less then stable frankly.

You're better then her, man. Honestly.

She is a great person.  But she's also 3 years younger than me - that probably didn't help too much (going back to a bit of the maturity thing).

Our only demand is that the Inks Update Thread be more exciting than Bushies.......which should be an easy task Wink

No, we've actually talked on a few occasions.  I have no prurient interest in her, and I'm finding that she might be a bit uninteresting.

Damn, you blew it man.  Should have listened to people.  When a girl says she's not interested in a relationship (yeah right) it means she's not interested in you.  Instead of ditching this bitch, you spent a month trying to make friends with her dad (what the ?)

Some advice:

1. Get arrested.  There's an inverse relationship between how many times you've been arrested and how much pussy you get.  You're in college, right?  That's great.  There's plenty of people walking around on campus that you can just run over with your truck.  Sure you'll get a couple of years, but I guarantee you that in jail you'll be getting your first love letters from several lady admirers.  Don't forget about all the convicts that get married in prison, to women who are able to see past their rough, child-killing exterior for the soul within.

That's enough tips.  Give it six months, let me know how it goes Inks.  Also, your friends and family might not like the new you, that's okay, just beat their ass and tell them to shut the  up.

Haha, this thread is going places. Well, I guess we should add
4. Drop out of college

No way man.  Why do you want to be friends with this ho anyway?  Enjoy being a shoulder to cry on after she finds herself pregnant from some bad boy she's banging.

I'm not sure I would have phrased it that way, but I generally agree.
