Ford only had half a term, so he had less time to do damage.

What made Ford so bad (other than pardoning Nixon, which I felt was necessary to heal the country's wounds)?

I  Have Reagan up higher in my opinions due to Ford not being President for long. If he was elected to another term it would have been a harder choice.

Gerald Ford was a far less polarizing and inflammatory president (I would wager that it helps that he got the job without ever having to campaign for it - though this of course hurt his campaign in 1976) than Reagan, and is probably the last truly moderate Republican president.  I have mixed feelings about the pardon of Nixon.

Reagan's supply-side economics have had lingering disastrous consequences, and the soaring budget deficits that are now all too accepted by the politicians were first caused by Reagan's indulgent defense spending.  Also insulting was his campaign rhetoric to get government off your backs and out of your lives while adopting the policies of the Christian far right.  His support of the Contras in Nicaragua was tragic as well.  Why he is looked on as such a wonderful president I am painfully unaware.

I pretty much agree with this. Ford wasn't a great President, but he's light years ahead of Reagan.

Reagan obviously accomplished more and was a more charismatic leader but this country took a wrong turn in many areas during Reagan's terms (not that all of that blame should go solely to Reagan) so Ford gets my vote. Ford pardoned Nixon for Watergate, which was probably the best thing for the country in the long run, and as an aside-  I'd have to say that Iran Contra was worse than Watergate. Of course the media softened up a lot in the 15 years between the two, which probably led to Reagan getting out of that jam.

Ford pardoning the criminal Nixon was the worst thing he did during his presidency.

Reagan by far. He shifted the country to the right, something Ford neither would or could.

I thought you preferred moderate Republicans like Thomas E. Dewey?

Well, I can't see Dewey being put on any currency, although he probably should be (if he was a President).
