why is chrome so good? I hear people love it but I don't get why it is so good.

It's faster and has a lot of great features like Google in the address bar, commonly visited pages, easy tabs, and stuff.

As much as I've enjoyed using Chrome these past few months, I can't help but feel that sometimes it can be a little too simplistic.  I miss some of the plug-ins you could get with Firefox, not least the one that blocks all ads.  Apparently that feature will be introduced to Chrome at some point, but I don't hold out much hope from a company that's responsible for providing pretty much all the advertising on the internet (or at least seems like it does).
