Iran by 2020

Where do you see Iran going by 2020?  Will the Green movement succeed in overthrowing the yoke of the clerics?

If there is any kind of overthrow, I see an Islamic Military Dictatorship taking over. A secular Democracy seems unlikely.

Islamic republic officially, but will have many elements of a military dictatorship. The mullahs aren't going to cancel their sham election. They know their power will be further weakened if they do.

Not too much different than it is now, though optimistically the government might be a wee bit more honest and moderated due to the influence of the opposition movement.

2020?

Well, I imagine the opposition will take over soon, and rather because of strikes, though would be better without. Not sure whether they would overthrow the regime, rather big arrangements in it I'd say.

But, 2020?

Well, I imagine too much big geopolitical changes during this decade to know what would Iran be in 2020. This actually uses to be a question when I come to think about the future of this region. I see them as isolated anyways by this term, more or less like they are now then.
