Lieberman's stance for* the war takes away the one issue Democrats ran in in 04: Iraq.

Don't you mean for the war? Lieberman supported the war in Iraq even when most Democrats began to turn against it between 2005 and 2007. By the way, don't you think Lieberman having a woman VP will help energize the women's vote in his favor? A lot of women would have wanted one of their own as VP as soon as possible, and Dianne Feistein was not incompetent like Sarah Palin.

My mistake, for the war, typing error. And the energizing of the women's vote helped Mondale carry MN+DC.

Edit: Helped McCain net all of 173 EV's, and helped a popular ex-President running for a third term through his wife gain 2nd in the primary.

In general, I guess I agree with your map. Many liberal Democrats would probably stay home or vote third party since they'd see little difference between Bush and Lieberman on foreign policy, and I guess Feinstein would prevent Lieberman from losing by an even larger margin. Also I think the PV is Bush/Cheney 52.39% - Lieberman/Feinstein  45.78%. I would be kinda cool to have an all-Jewish ticket, though.

So who do the Democrats run?

But seriously, Bush would easily with a lot of Democrats staying home.
