Question 1: Is GeneralMacArthur right-wing or left-wing?

Question 2: Do his threads desire more to hurt progressive Democrats or hurt Republicans?

Just a simple question.  And please don't try to tell me General and his goofy posts don't have any agenda but the truth, or similar nonsense.

Both he and Glenn lean to the right in different ways.

I think he is by American standards center to center left, but he would rather hurt progressive dems than Republicans.

Right-wing. Although even though I have him on ignore I can't say he doesn't punch both left and right. The sanctimonious attitude is what turns people off, not his politics.

His ideology reflects that of most establishment Democrats (i.e. neoliberal/corporatist).

He is left wing and wants to hurt progressive Democrats but I don’t blame him as it is progressive democrats and Emily’s that are leading us to another R (most likely Trump) administration

He definitely is a Biden supporter and definitely not Solid whom is Turncoat Cokie Damage that makes R Nut maps, and Tender he makes R Nut maps but isn't SOLID, I only have qualms with Users like Solid that went from one extreme of making D NUT maps to a total reverse R nut map and he still calls himself Pack the Crts or Cookie Damage

That's why it's skeptical if he is Brucejoel because Brucejoel never interacts with Solid, Brucejoel, contradicted an R user in the same thread that Solid posted an R nut map and all of sudden Brucejoel disappeared

He is center-left in America and he opposes progressives because of where he lives, if he didn't live in Seattle, I presume he would hate Republicans more. Although he is pretty ignorant of foreign politics, (I remember him saying that the Democratic Party would be far-left in Spain which is laughable because Podemos gets 12% of the vote and PSOE is left wing) and with him saying that the Netherlands is a left wing country which it isn't aside from it being left socially, and him saying that Bernie would be far-left in Europe when there are many "left wing" parties that are to the left of Bernie and when the far-left in Europe are usually Trots or Marxist-Leninists, like Germany's Die Linke, Netherlands's SP, France's LFI/PCF, Spain's Podemos, Portugal's BE/PCP/Livre, Norway's SV, Sweden's V, and many other European parties are to the left of Bernie and he is pretty dismissive of the forum's knowledge of foreign politics as well and I remember him saying that people on this forum haven't heard of Evo Morales until he was couped when I'm sure people on this forum have been talking about him for years even though he is awful.

He's center-left. This is pretty obvious if you read his posts on Trump and the Republicans. I think it's a valid point that he might seem more left-wing if he lived somewhere other than Seattle, if he was in Texas he'd be constantly dumping on the Republican state government for example but in Seattle the Republicans are basically non-existent and don't control the state government so they're not a concern. Also I've never seen him express support for Sinema or Manchin and imply they're actually what the Democrats should be like.

Also more concerned with hurting Republicans. Most of his complaints about the left aren't even really about "Democrats" actually, for example Nicole Thomas-Kennedy never claimed to be a Democrat and ran on a non-partisan ballot. In terms of actual progressive Democrats, he might complain at times, but for example when it looked like Bernie might actually win the nomination he still said he'd support him in the general election and I think at one point even said that he doesn't mind Bernie so much as many of his online supporters. Petty yes but still. Even when's attacking "The Squad" and whatnot it's usually over them not supporting the Democratic agenda. His concern also seems to be that he thinks the people on the left he attacks will hurt the Democrats electorally in general, and while we can debate over how true that is, it's clearly concern about hurting Republicans. Also I've never seen him attack Inslee, who is all things considered one of the most left-wing governors in the country, (also never seen him go after the other ones like J.B. Pritzker and Phil Murphy.)

He is quite ignorant about foreign politics as Ishan noted, but no moreso than the average American person, considering the ignorant nonsense about them that most spread, remember the standard discourse has people unironically claiming that Bernie Sanders would be right-wing in Europe or that those Political Compass charts are worth of anything whatsoever other than laughing at.

MacArthur is a MILITANT center-leftist. The left is his bitter enemy. Republicans are his bitter enemy.

Left wing and wants to hurt both. Since that wasn’t an available option for some reason, I didn’t vote.

Yeah, those Republicans are firmly left-of-center. We have plenty of SALT kiddos here who are liberal across the board but think supporting Israel and wanting their parents to pay lower taxes makes them right of center. GMAC at least has actual beliefs, annoying as his presentation of them may be. And he is a militant center-leftist.

G-Mac is pretty clearly center-left, and I don't think anything else makes sense as a categorization except in a particular or very unusual and/or slanted context..

Saying he's "Right Wing" is more a comment about the poster than about G-Mac.

GMac seems pretty hard center to me. Definitely on the party's more moderate wing but not quite center-right.

It's equal - gun to my head I put progressives but I'm also extremely biased on this so take it with a geain of salt.

This is a free website you can change your positions on and off the forum, some Blks we're very glad Rittenhouse got off but did they post like Rs, Sir Woodbury that it should of been done no they didn't, so you don't have to hold the same position all the time

Just like Users like Solid changes from Cokie Damage to pack the Crts and he was a Biden Hack, poor people just prefer to support Rs offline or not in public, like Biden, I'd the D's do lose, the D's had Cory Booker to nominate and he wasn't a socialist to become Prez, that's why Eric Adams has been mentioned as a 2028 Prez nominee instead of Harris, buyers remorse for BOOKER

Colie Damage that Solid uses is much more conservative than Solid he said MT Treasurer was a hack and told me to shut up

He opposes anything Republicans or progressives support, so he opposes the PATRIOT Act but supports the war on drugs.
