My predictions for final bill

For:

Mary Landrieu voted for cloture
Evan Bayh voted for cloture
Blanche Lincoln voted for cloture
Ben Nelson voted for cloture

Against:

Joe Lieberman voted for cloture
Olympia Snowe voted against cloture
Susan Collins voted against cloture

If there are any fence sitters that you think I may have missed, feel free to include them.

I think Landrieu and Nelson vote for it in the end- election is awhile off for them. I believe Collins absolutely came out against it, and that Snowe leans no. Lincoln is the true tossup- I really don't know, but I'd lean towards a yes vote. Being the only one is difficult, and it's really not the way to get lots of help from the party for Senate election.

You forgot Lieberman- I think he'll vote for it the end, but he's being an attention whore at the moment.

How are you defining "voting for the health care bill"?  I could see several Dems (and maybe Snowe) voting for cloture, but then voting against the bill on final passage (if it makes it that far).  They would be allowing it to pass, while still voting against it.  So how are you counting them?

That was only a cloture vote to begin debate on the bill.  There will still be a cloture vote to end debate on the bill and hold a vote, then a vote on the bill, and then a revised version of the bill will come out of a conference committee with the House.  Then we go through this stuff again.
