Under George W. Bush's leadership the federal government's most recent deficit was $422 billion (over $1,300 per person charged to the national credit card IN ONE YEAR).

How important is this issue to Libertarians, Greens, Reformers, members of Constitution Party and others affiliated with non-major political parties?

If this issue is important to you please comment on what programs you hold dear you are willing to cut or which taxes you are willing to increase.

Methinks your objection is the the subject matter not breaking it up into four polls.

There's plenty of examples of Bush supporters starting spurious threads that could have been included in existing threads. Which did you object to?

You could have asked this question for all groups in one poll.

Example

Is the deficit a major issue?

R - Yes
R - No
D - Yes
D - No
I -  Yes
I -  No

And I would have preferred to include it in one poll, but with the latest update there's only five poll options.

Have you locked the voting. Damn thing won't let me vote. I think I've been disenfranchised!  Smiley

My opinion is option 2.  There are two ways to eliminate the deficit.
Big government approach-increase taxes.
Small government approach- reduce spending.

I like the small government approach. We could take at least $1 trillion out of the budget but it means privatizing social security and medicare/medicaid. Those are the fastest rising parts of the budget. That has to be done carefully so as not to deprive anyone of benefits from programs they have paid into all their lives. The longer we wait though the more difficult it will be to do.
