Feb. 2008 Sad Obama and Huckabee shock everyone by getting many unexpected wins. Huckabee swept the South, Missouri and Oklahoma and some western states. Huckabee realized McCain was close to winning the Nod, so he (unhappily) tried to help Romney in some liberal-leaning states. Romney upsets McCain in NY, NJ, IL. Obama keeps things close with Hillary. Obama wins 14 states, to Hillary's 9.

John McCain drops out after only winning a few states (AZ, CA, etc..). McCain endorses Huckabee. Huckabee is able to beat Romney out in Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Ohio. Romney drops out on March 12th after losing 90-9 in MS.

Romney endorses Huckabee.

Obama  and Hillary keep as close as it was in RL. But, Hillary loses Texas. She stays in only to lose badly in more states. Hillary drops out after only barely beating Obama in Kentucky and West Virginia.

Hillary endorses Obama.

I don't think very many people would like a president who wants to ban divorce and put AIDS victims in concentration camps.  He seems like a nice guy personally, but in terms of politics...*shivers.*

Doesn't matter who the running mates would've been......

Add Montana to Barack Obama's win column. Arizona would've been closer in the margins. Missouri would've been tight (no matter). Other than that, similar results.
