Two propositions up for vote.

The Midwest LGB Dignity "Loopholes FTW!" Act

All reparative therapy, psychological therapy, self help and 'ex gay' institutions, associations and ministries with the intent to subdue, erase, reform, negatively influence or attempt to change an individuals sexual orientation are perfectly legal, but shall receive a "tax" of $250,000 per month. If they fail to pay this tax, the organizations shall be shut down by Midwestern law enforcement personnel, and the leaders of said organization shall be sentenced to jail time of no more than five years.

Consumer Privacy Protection Act #1
1. The use of cameras by a business or organization that use facial recognition software or similar software for any reason is prohibited.

2. If a business or organization violates clause 1, they shall receive a fine of up to 1,000,000, with the maximum fine increasing by 50% for subsequent violations within a five year period of their most recent violation.

3. Law enforcement officials shall randomly inspect buildings or offices owned/rented by a business or organization.

4. A business or organization may request a license to use such facial recognition software from the Midwest Department of Justice, but only if they have a strong need to use said software for security purposes. If a business/organization is licensed, clause one shall not apply to said business/organization unless:

5. If they are using the software for any reason other than security, in which case their license shall be voided, they will be prosecuted for violating clause 1 as a company without a license would be, and they will not be allowed to receive another license for 10 years.

6. Cameras that do not use recognition software of any kind are still legal.

You may vote aye, nay or abstain, OR, Grin, Angry, Undecided, respectively. This booth opens at 12:19 PM central time on 10/10/09 and ends at the same time one week later.
