It's absurd, but no more absurd than the claims some Zionists make that no Arabs were living there under Ottoman rule.

Is the "chief Jewish Judge of Israel" (or equivalent) making these claims?

Not yet, but with each passing year the ultra-Zionists are getting more clout.

Try election results in Israel or composition of Israeli governments.

You may be confusing "there were no Palestinians" with "there were no Arabs".  If not, then do you have a reference?

Those claims aren't being made by the Chief Rabbi of Israel; they're made by fringe Zionists who do not, and will not, hold true power in Israel.

Who finished third at the last elections?

Yet still received only half as many votes as either of the top finishers, and barely finished ahead of another Socialist Party.

A government in which it serves with Labor and Kadima.

Labour is a joke party. Kadima made Avigdor Lieberman the Foreign Minister. The crazies have a good deal of power.

Thought Kadima were in opposition.

Avigdor Lieberman the Foreign Minister. The crazies have a good deal of power.

These two points contradict each other Tongue

Mind you, I'm not entirely sure that it's right to call Lieberman and Co. "ultra-Zionists". Plenty of other things they can be called, of course...

Yisrael Beteinu is in government, and has a very strong position in said government. Do you deny this, or is substantive debate too much for you?

I can't believe what's being written here. Does anyone have any source that a single person denies arabs lived in Jerusalem in the past?

"very strong"?  I thought you wanted substantive debate?  They finished third.  Getting barely half the seats the second place party got.  Thank Og known of Israel's neighbors have racist groups running their countries.

But anyway, I'm not sure why I'm bothering.  Both our minds are made up on this issue and if either of us are going to change our mind it certainly won't be because of what the other one said.

2/3 of Israel's neighbors (Egypt and Jordan) recognize Israel and it's tough to call their governments racist (You can call them many things, including non-democratic and repressive, but not in a racist way.) And the Lebanese government is a decidedly non-racist coalition with the racists being the opposition.

And the US blows a lot of money in aid keeping it that way.
