Yes, all two of them. Smiley Also three At-large Senators left to close to the election to warrant special elections. What is your opinion of their performance in their last days in office?

THIS POLL IS FOR ALL REGISTERED VOTERS!!! It will last for three days.

afleitch: Awesome as always
Marokai: Disagree with strongly, but brought good debate, mildly disapprove
Fritz: Gotta love Midwesterners Grin Cheesy Grin*hughughug*Grin Cheesy Grin
Franzl: I have to disapprove as he seems to have moved to the left over the past few months
Rowan Brandon: One of the few true economic conservatives in the Senate in my time here. Mildly approve, though he didn't seem to articulate his positions as well as would be ideal.

Basically, except I'm neutral on Franzl because of what Vepres said. Defending the US Senate's health care bill is pretty much crossing the line for me. Marokai and Rowan are just left-wing ideologues who have no place in the Senate.

I basically agree, though I'm not sure that Rowan's record as a Senator suggests much of an ideology. Tongue

Well, let's just leave it at "not much of a record."

It was a pretty miserable term. Tongue

I approved of the senators with tact.

The two without tact should get some.

And here I thought it was "the job" Senators were doing. I didn't know it was "Which Senators have the prettiest smiles?"

Maybe that's part of the job?

Not having pretty smiles, but I do believe that all government officials need to act with tact. Those that cannot, therefore, in my view, are not doing their job properly.

Doing their job = implementing good/bad/whateveropinionyouhaveofit policy, by any reasonable estimation.

Though I'm happy to have the disapproval of those who's ideology is not based in reality, I am perfectly willing and capable of defending every one of my votes, and every one of my bills, and I did my job very well, not only as Senator but also as PPT.

Afleitch, Franzl, and I didn't vote all that differently. Yet, our approval numbers vary. It just goes to show you what approval polls boil down to, and that's high-school-style popularity contests. (Or just general suckupitude.)

Lets be honest, if a real life senator behaved like some of our atlasian ones do, they'd be out on their a**. I'm sorry that the idea of tact is not in line with your belief in reality.
