Negative.

Switching a party is not something people do on the fly. It's a commitment. When I left the SDP (and directed all others to join the JCP) it was not an easy decision for me, but I did it because I believed in it and because I thought it was the right thing to do, and I committed myself to my new party.

Parties should not just be labels, it should exemplify how people conduct themselves here, and what people believe in.

In addition to what I just wrote, I'd like to applaud you, Vepres, Rowan, and any other RPP member who leaves the RPP and truly stays with the Democratic Alliance. It shows alot of courage.

As Deputy Leader of the DA, I think there needs to be some sort of party statement, so here it is:

I welcome any and all serious new members to the party. It is great to see the wide appeal of the DA's message, as well as the party's presence as a hub for those seeking a place in which they may think and act freely. We pride ourselves on attracting members of all stripes and beliefs.

However, some of the party switching that this weekend has brought does not seem, to me at least, to be in that same vein. While there were some serious switches, and I will not name names, others seem to be out of political expediency or an urge to hurt their own party, rather than as a show of allegiance to a different message.

That is why I believe these changes are negative. To come to the DA is not to say that one dislikes the RPP or JCP; rather, it is to say that pragmatic solutions, realistic approaches and free thinking appeal to you.

Semi positive,

It pisses me off that many of my former RPP brothers who have left to join the DA have switched back, but for those of you who are making a commitment to stay: Epic FFs.

I promise I will not switch back to the RPP, especially since I have just now recently launched a campaign for the Midwest Senate Seat.

That the RPP was throwing their full backing behind...

Great reason to switch

At least it did it before the election and not after.
