Hopefully none. I find it very unlikely that Specter can be stopped, anyway. He has alot of respect from Democrats and many, many, many moderate Republicans switched over from the increasingly conservative Republican Party.

Schwartz will not run. Torsella may stay in. That's about it though barring something big happening with Specter. The machine wants Specter and the potential candidates back away.

Does anyone really thinks that Specter switched without guarantees that the primary field will be cleared for him.? The White House already ''leaked'' the conversation between Obama and Specter where the President pledged his full support.

So unless somebody has a political death wish, nobody will run against an incumbent who has the backing of the President and the Governor.

The more I hear about this, the less likely I think it is that he'll get any kind of serious competition. I was looking forward to getting a real Democrat in this seat. Oh well.

Maybe Mike Gravel could move to PA and challenge him! Smiley
