Democrats:

President Bill Clinton(AR)
Vice President Al Gore(TN)

Republicans:

Governor T. Boone Pickens(TX)
Governor Jim Edgar(IL)

Reform:

Entrepreneur H. Ross Perot(TX)
Economist Pat Choate(DC)

In 1990, Pickens runs for the Republican nomination for Governor of Texas and wins against Democrat Ann Richards. Pickens is reelected in 1994 and decides to run for the Republican nomination for 1996. After a brutal fight against Bob Dole in the primaries, the party comes together at the Convention in California and officially chooses T. Boone Pickens and Jim Edgar as their candidates. With Pickens support from conservatives and using his own funds and other "political action" groups to run ads against Clinton, making for a suprise opposition to President Clinton in the general election, some pundits call this "The Texas Revenge" on account of the backing of the Bush family of Pickens. To try and counter and gain more voters in the center, Perot dips into his owns funds and buys up several TV spots. Clinton goes on the offensive as his rhetoric is more of "I'm a small town Arkansas boy, Perot and Pickens are big time businessman and they don't know who the American people are..". The other major mantra's of the 1996 campaign become a one of Experience versus "Inexperience".

So how does the election play out? discuss with maps if you wish
