I think he is the wrong man for the job. In our time of need, we NEED a man like John McCain and a woman like Sarah Palin to lead us out of this rut.

John McCain would be great for foreign affairs, but as for the economy... Meh. He said it himself, It's not his strong suit. But I certainly admire John McCain as he sacraficed loads for this country, and would be delighted to have seen him as president.

Are all of your thoughts 4 months behind or did you just wake up from a coma? This is pointless speculation, on par with Democrats assuming the world would be a better place if Gore had won in 2000. Clearly the majority of American disagreed with you when it mattered.

We can argue about which Republican would have been best.  I think Romney or Hunter or Huckabee would have us well on the way to economic recovery by now.  I am not sure McCain would.  But I do completely agree McCain would be heads and shoulders above obama who is a total failure as president.

After only 1 month of his 96 months in office, I don't think you can say that yet.

Of course he can, Harry. He's a Republican. And if there's one thing Republicans know, it's presidential failures.

This is a person that believes Ken Blackwell is very likely to become Ohio's next senator....obviously he's mentally challenged to some extent.

No, but neither was McCain.

In these times, we probably needed someone like Mitt Romney, who actually knew something about the economy.

Well, McCain is certainly better than Obama, at least in my opinion.

Well, unlike the Democrats, we don't whine about voting scandals when we lose. We make concession speeches, we don't go crying to the Supreme Court.

Thank you very much.  Now would you just tell that to Norm Coleman and Dino Rossi?

Norm Coleman and Dino Rossi are moderate hacks in suits.  True conservatives, such as Marilyn Musgrove, know how it's done.

(Isn't it just kind of weird, the very idea that being Republican/Democrats/whatever make people hugely less/more likely to be "sore losers"?

Then why did you endorse him, given that my hypothesis that South Carolina's margin of victory would be greater than one vote turned out to be correct?

Nah. I doubt he'll be that successful in getting the economy to improve.
