My favorites are the bear in the woods and Morning in America ads of Reagan 1984.

I always loved that one. It is so funny, and true at the same time.

I loved the Re-Pete ads run against Peter Beattie in the 2004 election. I've got a copy on my computer of the 2006 version when it was put out online (with no authorisation).

Fictional - I loved the election ad in The Honourable Wally Norman - which parodied all those other election ads out there... The whole movie was a parody of election campaigns, but I particularly enjoyed the election ad the conservative candidate runs. I have it here, but I couldn't find it online. This is roughly how it went (it's the conservative local MP speaking to camera outside an ordinary suburban house):

(he shuts the door and walks into the front yard, dressed in an army dress uniform, God Save the Queen plays in the background).

"Ken Oates here. You know, an Oates has fought in every Australian war since the Himilayan Emergency. My Uncle Toby was decorated and redecorated. What was he fighting for? Well I'll tell you..."

(now finished walking over to a barbecue on the driveway. There's an esky full of beer bottles in stubbie holders emblazoned with an image of the Australian flag).

"The right to live where I choose (gesturing over his shoulder towards the house), to eat my snags the way I like (pointing at the barbecue) and to have a beer with my mates (camera close up on the stubbie holder with the Australian flag and kangaroos) - Here you go, Tran (hands beer to Vietnamese neighbour, neighbour says 'thanks, Ken'). Wally Norman wants to take all that away. But not on my watch! (off screen 'kick it to me, Mr Oates' - football comes in and candidate catches it before passing it back off screen, while calling out...) Watch out for drugs! (now glances at watch) Oops, time for church (holds up Bible)."

It was kind of a dog whistle on just about every conservative issue.

In recent times, the Green Party's party political in 2007 impressed me.
