Peter coy has an excellent article in Business Week entitled - "A New Menace to the Economy: 'Zombie' Debtors."

I do not agree with his lumping GM (incompetence) in with AIG and Citi (Bernie Madoff style enterprises), but otherwise find the article excellent.

the article is too long to publish here, and cannot be fairly condensed, so here's the URL:

Not a menace; Coy doesn't understand economics.  All caught up in micro when the problem is macro - there's nothing wrong with GM, it is State policy which caused the problem, and it can be fixed by reinflation/redistribution.

Basically people like Coy know very well what they're spouting is economic nonsense, they just know it appeals to the simpletons who read Business Week and think everyone should have to 'pull his own weight' and think in terms of simple balance sheets.

I just find it hilarious that you think there is nothing wrong with GM. Roll Eyes
