I'd slightly prefer a Lieberman presidency to a McCain presidency, but a McCain presidency wouldn't be awful, so I'll vote Nader in this scenario.

What would a map of this look like?

That's a tough one.  I'm leaning McCain, not because I agree with the guy, but because I think he'd be a great president and I think he's an honest, straightforward guy who is not a strict partisan.  I went with McCain.

In an even (25-25-25-25) race, what do you think of this map:

Dark Red--Nader (150)
Light Red--Lieberman (135)
Light Blue--McCain (114)
Dark Blue--Peroutka (139)

Any of them would be vastly better than Bush.

Although I agree with Nader more than McCain on the issues. I think McCain would do a better job as President and would command the respect of public.

Peroutka wouldn't win South Dakota. While most of the people here and the rest of the Great Plains might be Republicans, they're fairly moderate Republicans, at least when compared to the Republicans in say, Mississippi or Utah. If they were raging theocrats we wouldn't be willing to elect Democrats on anything. Plus there's much more of a libertarian streak here, SD has some of the laxest drug laws in the country, low restrictions on alcohol sales and high speed limits, in MT drinking and driving is actually legal (as long you don't go over the DUI limit of course) and the rest is fairly similar to SD. McCain would win here fairly easily, and I think he'd take ND, MT, WY and maybe NE too. And he also has my vote.
