Why is this city so Republican? In another thread, I mentioned that it's one of the most densely populated counties/independent cities to vote for McCain, and he got 70% here. It's not far from Richmond, anyone know why it's so more conservative than the areas nearby?

Integration-prompted white flight from Petersburg.  'Nuff said.

Density is misleading.  It has a high percentage of family units, but the layout and feel is distinctly suburban.
