Murder a mile from my house!

Predictably, it was over on the "bad" side of the interstate. Still it isn't that scary over there. Pretty creepy.

That murder I mentioned some days ago of a guy I (barely) knew - yeah well, as I didn't know at the time, it happened on the very block my mom lives on.

I'm surprised that doesn't happen to you more often living in Memphis.

A man was stabbed to death outside my front window last year. He was involved in drugs apparently and it was a hit as he was walking home.

I think only two murders have been within a mile or so of my apartment in the last year.  Maybe two miles.

Lots more shootings though.

There's been one murder in my town in the last ten years. A guy got knifed in the bathroom at some bar there.

I've had two knock, assault, and rob attempts at my house. Why the hell do these morons think I'd open the door at midnight or 2 am?

     That's all? I had a triple homicide at my intersection a couple of months ago.

That'd be kind of unnerving, though in an urban setting, a mile and a freeway can make a world of difference.

Same here.  2 murders, 3 people dead (I'm counting the double murder as one).
