Ummm...based on the article you provided; it said merely that he won't be charged--not that the police concluded he was innocent to destroying evidence (to which he already admitted.)

Anyhow if the police had prosecuted it would have been on political grounds... nice to know the coppers aren't the fascists they were in the early '80's...

lol "presumed" innocent, I believe is the phrase...and that's for the accused.

Since he isn't charged, plus he admitted to wrongdoing...I'll take his word for it since it won't affect his legal welfare.
