Full Poll DetailsFully 46 percent of respondents pointed to the ''economy/jobs'' as the most important issue in their decision on how to vote. And state voters express considerably more trust in Obama to handle fallout from Wall Street, 44 percent to 28 percent.
Respondents favored Obama 46 percent to 35 percent over McCain on handling the economy in general.
McCain enjoyed a 45 percent to 36 percent edge on dealing with the war in Iraq, which ranked a distant second (12 percent) as a factor in voting. Obama outpolled him (44 percent to 36 percent) on handling energy policy.
