Most of us have probably never heard of this woman, but for once I'll agree the term Freedom Fighter is appropriate.

I don't necessarily agree with everything she says in this video, but I like her!

Marcy is an amazing Democrat.

Off all people, she was H. Ross Perot's first choice for running mate in either 1992.  She said, "Thanks, but no thanks."

But for a long time, Ohio's two most reliably liberal members of Congress -- Marcy Kaptur and Dennis Kucinich -- were also the Democratic Party's two most outspoken abortion rights opponents. Kaptur remains an anti-choice liberal.  Kucinich caved and joined the pro-choice side when he mounted his first Presidential campaign.

While I am actually pro-choice, I have tremendous respect for anti-choice Democrats and pro-choice Republicans.  Because there's just sooooooo much pressure put on them.

Anyway, Kaptur is one of my favs.

Kaptur is Pro Life? Wow. I would have never guessed.

Yep.  And unlike Kucinich, she hasn't changed.  Of course, she's never run for national office.

I think she and Nat Hentoff have spoken together at various liberal conferences and represented the anti-choice position.  I like 'em both a lot.

Of course they don't want Toledo. They got the UP in compensation.

What's sad is I'm not sure if we're talking about Hell, Michigan or the land of fire and brimstone and eternal suffering.

She's always been one of my favorites too.

Her relentless fight for the interests of the worker has always been quite admirable.

Clearly Michigan got far and away the better end of the deal. Smiley

Not sure if we did, though. We'd rather be a part of Wisconsin.

Well, yes, that's implied. Wink

Hmm. Does Madison pay any more attention to Northern Wisconsin than Lansing does to you?
